Family Involvement

As the caregiver, you’re expected to be physically present, and actively engage alongside your child. The benefits of these classes are twofold, the child gets language input and so does the parent! 

What’s the benefit of family learning?

There is so much benefit! Learning together gives the whole family the motivation and encouragement to work toward a common goal. Our curriculum is theme-based for everyone! So having the same experiences gives the caregiver the chance to continue the conversation outside of their respective session times. 

About Spanish Immersion

At this time, our instructors speak Mexican Spanish. We are in the process of expanding our team to different language backgrounds, countries, regions, and other acquisition methods.

What is the difference between a bilingual and Spanish Immersion approach?

Our bilingual approach will make use of both Spanish and English for the instructional language, while the Spanish Immersion approach will be all in Spanish, with no English translation other than a few words or phrases here and there for clarification. ALL of our sessions are full immersion. Our sessions, yes even full immersion, are for Spanish learners/speakers of any level, unless otherwise specified. If you are a fluent speaker we ask you to speak Spanish only, as our goal is to reinforce and get as much exposure to the new language. 

No refunds will be offered for any missed sessions; however, you will be given the opportunity to miss and reschedule ONE session the following season (e.g., spring, fall etc.). If you pay for a drop-in session and miss it, you can make-up the ONE session at any time, with approval from Xoco Tucson administration. 

An entire session may be canceled before the start date if it doesn’t reach minimum enrollment, and in that case you will be notified with plenty of time and be fully refunded. As far as last-minute cancellation of a class on any given day, that will only happen in case of emergency, illness, and you will be provided with a make-up session. In such an instance, we will give as much notice as we possibly can.
